A Thing About Learning

The beautiful thing about learning is no one takes it away from you. I wish that was true, for history books are rewritten at a blink of an eye, and bias is spread across pages like butter on bread. They shove it down our throats, this learning, this beautiful thing. I wish they also taught us how to unlearn, how to critically think and not be victim to bias if things turn. I yearn for schools to teach money, physical training and philosophy. Then I realised, the fabric that sews this society is torn. It was not 2014 or 2016 or 2020 that changed the world for ever. The world always burned, and like history taught us, we never fucking learned.
